Vocational Schools

CGD-PV, (Central Geral do Dízimo PRÓ-VIDA – General Center for the Tithe PRÓ-VIDA), has a project for the construction of vocational schools with the objective of offering young people the possibility of professional training. The schools are built to meet the local demand for specialized labor where they will be located, giving people the opportunity to learn a profession, work and thus obtain better living conditions.

In most of the schools built in Brazil, Senai (National Service for Industrial Learning) – one of the biggest organizations for professional education in the world – and Senac (National Service for Commercial Learning) – one of the main Brazilian vocational education institutions – were chosen by PRÓ-VIDA to receive the donations. Both institutions are internationally known for the quality of their education and high yield in hiring of their graduates.

The Capão Bonito School was donated to the Paula Souza State Technological Education Center, a government institution.

The Central Geral do Dízimo also built a new, fully equipped building for Instituto Baccarelli, a non-profit organization dedicated to social transformation through the arts. The Institute founded the Heliópolis Symphonic Orchestra, one of the main youth symphonic groups in Brazil, which is recognized around the world for the excellent work done, through music, with young people and children in situations of social vulnerability.
