Christmas Donation benefits institutions in five countries
This December, the charitable institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, and Italy that received donations from the Centrais do Dízimo PRÓ-VIDA (Centers for the Tithe) during the year of 2021 received a gift chosen by themselves, to contribute to the work they do. This action is part of PRÓ-VIDA’s celebrations of Christmas, a special date that renews hope for better days.
The Donation Ceremony took place at the PRÓ-VIDA Club in Araçoiaba, São Paulo (Brazil), on December 11. As Natalia Ortiz, who spoke on behalf of the Centers for the Tithe, said, the donation is inspired by love for our neighbors “which allows us the honor of honoring the One who radiates the spirit of Christmas”, Jesus Christ. It continues the gesture made by the founder of PRÓ-VIDA, Dr. Celso Charuri, who founded the CGD-PV (Central Geral do Dízimo PRÓ-VIDA, General Center for the Tithe) and made the first donation in 1979.

“During these 42 years, (…) PRÓ-VIDA’s participants have carried, through the action of the Tithe, the hope that a Much Better World is possible for all.”

Among the Christmas presents, there were televisions, computers, playgrounds and furniture delivered by CGD-PV and its 23 affiliates in Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and Italy. This year, the Centers carried out 222 donations, among them the 14th Dr. Celso Charuri Vocational School.
