Vacation, what do I want you for?
Vacation, what do I want you for?
Oh! Vacation…
Looking forward to the long-awaited rest…
A stop in time… or a time stopped.
Vacation days come and we usually relax, stop.
But can you really rest?
These are days when we tend to focus more on family or friends, watch the movies waiting for us on the favorites list, embark on those unusual readings or even take a trip, perhaps seeking to (re)define the course. Suddenly, we find ourselves with so many commitments and tasks that we have the perception that time flies by, sparing no minutes.
But wasn’t it supposed to stop?
And the rest, where is it?
Even immersed in many activities, the feeling is that tiredness no longer matters, given the satisfaction of being able to be free to commit to what we like. In this paradox, what really seems to be is that vacation is, indeed, a break, but the one that takes us out of automatic, to look around, to travel inside ourselves, to experience real work, to perceive beauty… of Life.
Work on vacation, sure! A period to remind us that real work doesn’t stop, it’s inside, it’s outside, all together, it’s movement.
So, why not have a year-round vacation?
Oh! Vacation…
