How Can One Be Happy?

How Can One Be Happy?

Some doubt that it’s possible for a person to achieve happiness. Much less, all of humanity! To some, this idea may even seem utopian, especially when considering the current world scene, filled with selfishness and conflict. Yet, many rise from their beds daily, seeking to find greater happiness at work, within their families, with friends, within themselves… At times, people actually reach a happier state, but it often doesn’t last long. What, then, is the solution?

To get to the answer to this question, Dr. Celso Charuri dedicated his life to studying the human mind and went deep into the knowledge left by great beings throughout history. In this process, he recognized the path to happiness—a journey that involves mental development.

According to Dr. Celso, it is necessary to understand that the mind exists, that it has capabilities that can be used so that each one achieve their objective, and also that these capabilities can be developed. With each step taken in mental development, consciousness expands, and the person begins to better know themselves, their role in the world, and their relationship with their environment: their city, their country, the planet… They begin to understand different ways of acting towards themselves and the world to achieve greater happiness.

During this process, something occurs: the person realizes that it is not possible to build happiness only for themselves while living in a world where suffering still exists. At that moment, a desire to help naturally awakens within them. But what to do and how? After all, giving bread to someone satisfies their hunger only temporarily.

So, Dr. Celso Charuri proposes a simple yet transformative gesture: giving. Not just to meet an immediate need, but to teach that “those who have give to those who don’t.” And this is not limited to material things; it is about giving of oneself—to share knowledge, give attention, or even a smile to someone in need. It is an idea that generates harmony and justice in a world of the different and differences, and that builds a much better world for everyone.

(…) Queremos hacer sentir que existe la posibilidad”.
