Father
Father
Father. There are words that appear and fade, others expand and others dilute. There are words that used to mean something, but not anymore. Sometimes they are remembered, sometimes forgotten. There are words that are only words, but others are actions. They reveal themselves in different ways at different times, and have the strength of mildness.
Father. A smile, a hug, a snuggle. Lessons, dawns, and lectures. Expression of the one who, while present, is protection, comfort, security. Sentinel who guides and opens the path. Encourages for the future. Will cease to live, but will always be as long as his example lives.
Father. Memory when absent. Memory or reminiscence of what was once word and action. It is the seed that germinated and now nourishes. It has been perpetuated. A mark that inspires and produces more fruit. From generation to generation, it carries within the flame of hope of an eternal presence.
Father. Goodness that opens space for what is proper for each one to manifest itself. Like the sun that leaves the scene and, at nightfall, gives life to the stars, gives existence. It is love that sustains, without dose and without weight. It frees.
