And He also left much more beautiful things! He left parables. From them, I like to remember the parable of the Sower. The one in which He says that the seed was cast onto rock and didn’t germinate. Another cast the seed onto shallow soil: it germinated and soon died. Another cast the seed onto deep, well-ploughed soil and so the seed germinated, grew and bore fruit. And one day, His Father in His person, comes back to reap the fruit.

The disciples, who didn’t understand well, asked and the explanation came right after. He said: some receive the Word, and the Word, since it’s placed on non-favorable soil, the Word gets lost. Others receive the Word, but on a non-favorable, shallow terrain; they let themselves be swayed by the certainties of the material life, they let themselves be contaminated by everything that matter can offer, and the Word also doesn’t bear fruit. And others, those who have already realized the existence of an Eternal Life and that have the Courage to become human beings – Men – to lose their hypocrisy, those let the seed germinate, they later become Sons of God.

Tonight, we are rendering homage to a Man who was born almost two thousand years ago. Two thousand years. And who will remain two thousand more, ten thousand more, a million more, if necessary, for as long as there is duality on Earth, for as long as man can’t become unattached, for as long as man can’t understand that this life is merely a passage. While this doesn’t happen, the conflict cast two thousand years ago onto the spirit of each of us will be alive and it’s precisely this conflict that will allow everyone, one day – one day! – to make a decision and go for the action of following the Laws of the One who says He is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
