Yoga has been part of PRO-VIDA since 1981, following the Hatha Yoga system, which aims to consciously unite the principles that constitute human duality: spirit and matter, masculine and feminine, active and passive.
Yoga practices are available online and therefore accessible to all PRO-VIDA participants anywhere in the world. The practices are also offered in person at the headquarters, centres and meeting points (check availability on the Local Activities Agenda).
To participate, it is essential to be respectful and be aware of your current physical condition. Avoid overdoing the movements and stop the practice if you feel any pain or discomfort. Be kind to yourself! Listening to your own body is a sign of responsibility and non-violence.
For a better experience during the practice, we suggest having:
- Carpet, yoga mat or cushion
- Belt or scarf
- Glass of water, incense and relaxing music (optional)
For the Serenity Yoga practices
- 1 armless chair
- Firm footrest
At the end of the practice, you should feel better than you did at the beginning.

On the day of the practice, you can access it through the Yoga Department page or General Agenda in the Department option.
The room opens about 10 minutes before the practice time and there is a 10-minute tolerance for entry after the practice begins. Always check the general guidance for your safety.
If you’re unable to attend at the scheduled times, recorded practices are available for you to choose from according to your needs and availability. Always review the general guidance for a safe practice.
